This catalog is provided as a reference and guidebook, and is designed to address frequently asked questions. The contents of this catalog will increase your understanding of the institution and make it easier for you to be an effective instructor/student.

Our Heritage

In 2003, upon recognizing the need for more in-depth ministerial training and biblical education, Apostle Alford along with our Associate Pastors and Christian Education leaders received vision to establish this prestigious institute of biblical learning.  In loving memory of Dr. James “Papa” Benjamin Alford, Sr., this great institution is founded upon The Word of God and established upon its eternal principles.

Purpose

II Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”  The studying of God’s Word is essential to spiritual transformation, which in turn is essential to salvation. We endeavor to study disciplining the mind to consistent, purposeful labor and accomplishment.

JBABI aims to provide a higher level of Christian Education and Training through studying and rightly dividing of God’s Word which is the basis of effective ministry. JBABI also seeks to motivate students towards spiritual maturity.

Mission Statement

To equip students for the work of the local ministry; advanced kingdom outreach; and international ministry through effective biblical teaching.

The future goal of JBABI is to become an accredited institution whereby students can earn Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorial Degrees in Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Education, and more.

The Institute believes that the Bible should be at the heart and core of all training and is the standard for evaluating all claims of knowledge.  The Bible, as the inspired Word of God, thoroughly equips God’s people for ministry.  The Bible is the only framework within which a consistent, effective and productive worldview, lifestyle, and life of service to God and mankind can be maintained; thus rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

Organization Administration

The president of the institute is the Chief Executive Officer, other officers are appointed as required. The Dean is responsible for: the assignment of course schedules; instructor related duties; the formation of school policies; and oversight of student body. The Registrar works under the supervision of the Dean’s Office.
