Gloria Alford is a native of Chicago, IL where she attended John Marshall Harlan High School, Chicago State University and Grace International College obtaining a B.A. in Christian Education and Administration.

Gloria’s passion to teach was sparked through the experience at Northwest Institute for Contemporary Learning.

Gloria went on to further develop a computer curriculum for H. McNelty and James Memorial Christian Academy. She continues to share information regarding the latest in technology and new ideas to enhance the computer labs of various organizations.

Gloria is the daughter of Mrs. Georgia Windom and the late Pastor Alfred Windom, Sr.

Gloria serves as Vice President and Executive Board Member, Community Service Director, etc. of Progressive Life Giving Word Cathedral, Hillside, IL where her husband, Apostle Donald L. Alford is the Senior Pastor. In May of last year (2006) a new church was launched, Progressive Life Community Church, Wheaton, IL.

They have been married for 27 years. They have four wonderful children and a new grand daughter: Donald & Rasheeda, Stephon, Terrell and Brianna. She also serves as a Board Member of Aspire. Aspire is an organization that serves persons with disabilities.

Gloria’s interests include but not limited to: pursuing her quest to become a bible scholar, studying God’s Word, teaching and preparing for workshops, computer literacy, gardening, decorating, bowling, skating, cooking and developing new businesses.
